When a home becomes a phoenix ...
History of Serafina and B&B Morfeo
When, in the sixties of the last century, Serafina frequented the nursery school in an ancient Baroque home of the '700, never imagined that one day, after 50 years, entering by chance in that semiabandonate structure, what they found would have awakened so many memories.
“Seeing the rooms now half -life, the small school benches scattered here and there in the entrance hall, sheets and sizes embroidered yellowed but still folded and placed in the drawers of an old furniture and that courtyard where I played as a child was for me as A dip in the past.
I immediately remembered the sewing school, the severity of the nuns who prayed and accustomed school schools to rosaries and games for females organized in the oratory when I always wanted to escape to play like a boy ".
And then that moment of nostalgia was transformed into a vision: giving a new life to that ancient, now semi-abandoned home.
“When, together with my husband, I decided to buy and renovate this property I was in a difficult moment of my life, but the rebirth of this structure was also a rebirth.
After all, we are both two Phoenicians.”
Today those environments where the Sisters of the Institute, skilled seamstresses, from the eighteenth century cooked the clothes for the ecclesiastical authorities of the nearby church of Santa Venera, have become elegant and comfortable chambers for guests of the B&B Morfeo.
And in the courtyard, where a serafine was once careful, tourists from all over the world love to relax reading a book aboard a magnificent swimming pool.
